APT was founded by Keith Smith, to facilitate the work he has been doing in Burkina Faso since 1989. Under the oversight of a British board of trustees, Keith and his wife Lynne continue to pursue the vision of APT, liaising closely with the church in Burkina Faso.
It has been exciting to see the church coming to birth, and it is a privilege to work with the excellent local pastors who are now there. As the work and vision has grown, I began to see the need for a UK-based charity specifically set up to facilitate our ministry in the province. Thus was born the Acacia Partnership Trust. I am forever grateful to my home church, Glenwood Church in Cardiff, which has been a tremendous support, both for me and for the work in Burkina.”

Since then I've been using my dental skills in Thailand and Mozambique, training local believers to provide basic dental care within their communities, and combining clinics with preaching the gospel. I've been working as a dentist in Scotland part-time, travelling overseas twice a year. When in Bonnie Scotland, I serve in my local church (Mossvale Community Church), which has been an invaluable source of love and encouragement to me!”
World Horizons World Horizons is an interdenominational prayer-based pioneering mission movement, working primarily in parts of the world where there are no churches, or very few Christians. Keith and Lynne continue to pursue their work for APT in Burkina Faso under the covering of World Horizons. Supporting Keith and Lynne
Finance: Keith and Lynne receive no salary, either from APT or World Horizons, preferring the money to be invested in the ministry in Burkina Faso. They depend upon the generosity of friends and churches that want to support them in their ministry. If you wish to support them financially, please contact us. |

“I am English, and have been working in Burkina Faso since 1989 with the interdenominational mission World Horizons. Since 1992, I have been based in Gorom-Gorom in the province of Oudalan, where I've been working in evangelism, church planting, and poverty relief.
“I've been involved in evangelism through local church since I committed my life to Christ – especially among the poor, overseas students, & immigrants. I studied 3 years at Bible College in the US in a course on “Church Planting and Frontier Mission” including a faith-defining 3 months outreach in India.
