The teachers' housing is being built, and the contracts are drawn up for the three classrooms to be built this summer. Here are a few photos showing the progress on the building of the three teachers' houses:

This is the school ground, with the foundations being dug. You can click on the picture to get a larger image.

Here is the foundation work closer up. The foundations are 1.2m deep and 1m wide. The "woodless construction" technique means that even the foundation is made from mud bricks.


And here is the building work as it continues to make progress. They hope to finish the actual building including the roof very shortly, and then all that remains will be the finishings (doors, windows, flooring, cement covering etc)
